Welcome!

We are excited to announce one of our biggest conferences to date from Thursday, April 18 to Monday, April 29. This hybrid conference will ensure the best aspects of our previous conferences – the in-person connection and networking opportunities that our original format allowed and the inclusivity and accessibility of our virtual format. Those attending in-person will be back in Kerr Hall at the Toronto Metropolitan University and those attending virtually will be joining via Zoom**. This hybrid model will also allow us to bring in instructors from across the country.

Below you will find our schedule of events. There are 2 time slots where we will be offering two courses simultaneously on the same topic – apprentices, and music. These sessions allow people to choose the level of experience that suits their situation. For example – you can either learn to Read Music, or if you already know how to follow along with a score, you can learn how to stage manage a musical.

Big news is that we are still offering subsidized seats. If you can donate any amount towards helping those in our community who cannot afford to take a course, we would greatly appreciate it. You can donate upon check out, or through this link.

As is our custom we will close the conference with a Night of a 1,001 Stage Managers. Everyone is welcome whether you attended the conference or not! SMArts will supply finger foods. A full menu is available on the pub’s web site.

Date: Monday, April 29th
Time: 7:30 p.m. until late
Venue: The Imperial Pub (2nd floor)
Address: 54 Dundas Street East, Toronto

Sincerely,
Janelle Rainville
Director – SMArts
