Training Apprentices

As an Assistant Stage Manager or Stage Manager, are you prepared to train your Apprentice? Most professional stage managers have been mentored or trained while on the job, and membership in Canadian Actors’ Equity Association is based on this process. This course will examine what expectations an Apprentice should have of a Stage Manager as well as what reasonable expectations a Stage Manager should have of an Apprentice. A discussion about how to deal with different experience levels, skills and personalities as well as how to give feedback in a timely and helpful manner.
