Rick has been a Production Manager for over fifteen years, working alongside some of Canada’s leading artists and companies while having the great fortune of touring theatre, opera, dance and music throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Canada and the United States. After recently completing a 3-year term with Opera Lyra Ottawa as Director of Production, Rick was engaged in a variety of projects, including touring extensively with Tafelmusik and helping to produce ISPA’s and CAPACOA’s annual conferences. Prior to moving to Ottawa, Rick was Opera Atelier’s resident Production Manager and Volcano Theatre’s Technical Producer. Rick has also Production Managed for various summer theatres including the Bluewater Summer Playhouse (1999–2002), The Blyth Festival (2003), Resurgence Summer Festival (2004) and The Stratford Summer Music Festival (2008). Between 2004 and 2007, Rick was proud to sit on the Toronto Arts Council Theatre Committee. Rick teaches a course on National & International Touring at the National Theatre School in Montreal. Currently, Rick is the Director of Production at Young People’s Theatre in Toronto.
