In his 17 years as a professional artist, Haysam has endeavoured to make himself versatile by gaining valuable experience in a wide variety of disciplines. He has taught Theatre Arts as a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary, Red Deer College and Mount Royal University. Haysam is currently the Artistic Producer of the The Shakespeare Company in Calgary and program director for Shakespeare by the Bow.
