Hannah Burrows is a Stage Manager turned Counsellor. She spent ten years working with several theatre companies across Nova Scotia including Neptune Theatre, Eastern Front Theatre, LunaSea, and Valley Summer Theatre. She did everything from one person Fringe shows, to touring new works, to big musicals on a regional stage. She taught the Assistant Stage Managing course for SMArts on the Road in 2018. When the pandemic started Hannah had a chance to stop and realize her life wasn’t working for her anymore and that it was time for a change, so she made the difficult decision to leave theatre behind and start fresh.

Hannah attended Maritime Business College where she graduated in 2021 with a Diploma in Counselling. She spent a year as a Client Support Worker at a homeless shelter, and in that time also started her own practice. Hannah is passionate about educating people on Mental Health and related topics and firmly believes the more we know the better equipped we are to handle life’s challenges. She is a Registered Professional Counsellor Candidate with the Canadian Professional Counselling Association. She also has several certifications including Mental Health First Aid, NVCI (NonViolent Crisis Intervention), ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), and CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management).
