Lisa Russell

Production Stage Manager, Shaw Festival

Originally from Calgary, Lisa started her professional career over thirty years ago at the Citadel Theatre.  She works primarily in theatre and musical theatre, but has also worked in dance, opera, film festivals and special events.  Lisa worked at the Stratford Festival for seven seasons, was the production stage manager at the Banff Centre for the Summer Arts Festival for four years and was part of the Midsummer Ball Gala Fundraiser team for ten years.  She has assistant stage managed for Calgary Opera and has also served as interim production manager and onsite producer for their Opera in the Village.

Lisa has frequently worked for The Citadel Theatre, Pacific Opera Victoria, Globe Theatre in Regina, Western Canada Theatre in Kamloops and the Chemanius Theatre Festival.  As an educator, Lisa was a faculty member at the Banff Centre, a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary and MacEwan University in Edmonton, and stage management coach at the National Theatre School of Canada.
