Roxanne Prokop Miller

Roxanne has been a professional stage manager for over 25 years and has worked in many disciplines including commercial musicals, opera, dance, and large-scale events. As a dual citizen, Roxanne has divided her career between Canada and the United States. She has stage managed musicals for Mirvish Productions, Follows Latimer Productions (Forever Plaid), Stage West, the pre-Broadway try-out of Jeanne la Pucelle at the Place des Arts in Montreal, and was a sub stage manager on several Broadway musicals in New York including Les Miserables (Cameron Macintosh Productions).

In opera, Roxanne stage managed for the New York City Opera Company, the Mark Morris Dance Group, and Gotham Opera in New York, as well as operas for The Canadian Opera Company, Ottawa Lyra, and the Edmonton, Calgary and Manitoba Opera Companies. As a dance stage manager, Roxanne’s work includes productions with Martha Clarke, the Alberta Ballet Company, Aszure Barton, and the Banff Centre.

While living in New York, Roxanne produced and production supervised two film festivals for HBO: the annual Screen on the Green and Sharing the Stories, and contributed to many other events including Broadway on Broadway, Hudson Riverfest and the NYC 2000 Millennium Celebrations from Lincoln Centre. Her work has taken her to Norway, Puerto Rico, El Paso, Chicago, and many others cities in the US and Canada. For several seasons, Roxanne was the Production Stage Manager at The Banff Centre and in 2006, moved permanently to Banff where she enjoys life in paradise as a “semi-retired” stage manager and a regular working stiff.
