Joining Equity

Come learn all about Equity! This course is an introduction to Canadian Actors’ Equity Association, primarily intended to help early-career stage managers familiarize themselves with the Association and decide when and how to join Equity. We will discuss how Equity is structured, its Agreements/Policies, what Equity can do for you, and how you can be part of the movement to build a stronger performing arts industry. We’ll take a look at your work experience and career goals, the pros and cons of joining, membership types, and the process of obtaining apprentice credits and engagement permits.
